Carter chose Capital because it is a small, private,
Christian college. “I wanted a smaller learning environment
in order to get more attention in my field,” she says of the
decision to attend Capital which is located in Columbus, OH.
After college, Carter will
be entering medical school so that she can ultimately pursue
a career as a physician focusing on “children or women,” she
says.
Carter’s participation in
this year’s Cotillion was triumphant not only because of her
academic accomplishments but also because of her victory in
the talent portion of the event. She won by singing in
German an aria by Austrian composer Franz Schubert.
Capital University has a
conservatory of music – a perfect fit for Carter’s talents.
Carter is the daughter of
LaTesha Calloway.
