Owens’ Toledo-Area Campus to Host College and Career Preview
Night

More than 100 public and private colleges and
universities from Ohio and the multi-state area will visit
the Toledo area as Owens Community College serves as host to
northwest Ohio’s largest College and Career Preview Night on
Wednesday, March 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m..
The event will provide prospective students
the opportunity to visit with various college and university
representatives and learn about financial aid, student
activities, academic program offerings, athletic
eligibility, accommodations for students with special needs,
and more. Attendees will also be able to tour the School of
Nursing and Health Professions and the Fine Arts Labs.
In addition, representatives from local
financial institutions will be present to provide
information on student loans and high school counselors will
be available during the event to answer general college
questions. Representatives of various military branches will
also be on hand to discuss admission to military academies,
the ROTC and other scholarship-related programs.
The counseling staffs of 17 local high
schools and Owens are sponsoring the event. College Fair
tables will be set-up in the Gym and presentations on
Financial Aid and Manufacturing Careers will be in the
Center for Fine and Performing Arts.
