T-Bonds Holds Second Annual Back to School Fest

On the grounds of the
former Nathan Hale Elementary School, T-Bonds, a local bail
bands company, held the second annual Back to School Fest on
Saturday, August 13 featuring free screenings, food, school
supplies, entertainment and children’s games.
Hundreds of neighborhood
residents turned out for the event during which bicycles
were also given away to some of the lucky youngsters.
“It was awesome,” said
Tina Butts of T-Bonds and the organizer of Saturday’s
festival.
Sponsors included State
Rep. Michael Ashford, attorney Richard Mitchell, Toledo
Urban Federal Credit Union, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Local
500 and the Toledo Chapter NAACP.
