Kaptur Statement
after Voting "No" on House Passage of GOP Tax Bill
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), last week issued the
following statement after the House passed the final version
of the GOP tax proposal:
"This bill does nothing to guarantee higher wages, create
good jobs or even to prevent corporations from outsourcing
jobs. This scam gives the bulk of its trillion-dollar
windfall to real estate investors and the millionaire donor
class. Where is the middle-class windfall?
"The American people deserve better than this tax deal that
was negotiated in secret and rammed through Congress in a
matter of weeks. Tax cuts for the rich won´t grow the
economy nor will it provide relief to the millions of
Ohioans who need a leg up."
