Steward who takes her
faith walk as serious as, if not more so, her fitness
journey, says a blessing came to her in the middle of the
night that said 2014 was going to be her year and that it
would be her year to shine.
“Shine” stuck with her and
now graces everything she touches. After outgrowing her
former space and constantly being faced with the
difficulties that come with sharing a space, Steward says
she knew she had to trust God.
She did, and things began
to happen.
Says Steward of her new
location, “I didn’t have to look far, I knew it was mine the
first time I saw it, even the colors were already here.”
Her prayers weren’t
without old fashioned hard work though. Steward says she had
a vision for what she wanted and with the help of a great
handy man and dedicated “sistahs” who understood her vision,
they were able to turn her space into the “Fabulous” studio
it is today.
Now that she has her own
studio, Steward says she’s able to offer classes six days a
week and added that Sunday will always be her day of rest.
For now she says she will maintain her contract with TPS,
continuing to hold free classes every Monday night at Scott
High School until June. Steward says, “I can now create
more without all the restrictions and time restraints I had
sharing a space and I’m able to offer more diverse classes.”
Adding to the already fun
and well-attended line up of classes, Fabulously Fit will
now offer mini trampoline (rebounding) and boxing. There
will also be a kids club starting in May with classes being
offered for boys and girls ages eight-13 who will have
access to the same equipment as the adults.
A women’s only facility, Steward says the youth are the only
males allowed. Currently running at 50+ members, Steward
says she’s looking forward to doubling that number. |
