The program features targets that address community needs
with programs in the following areas; Target 1-Educational
Enrichment, Target 2-Health Promotion, Target 3-Family
Strengthening, Target 4-Environmental Ownership and Target
5-Global Impact.
The service program at the Ronald McDonald House was
provided by the Environmental Ownership committee which led
the collection of aluminum pull tabs to be recycled. Under the
Environmental Ownership Target’s
Acts of Green Program,
the focus is to promote environmental
sustainability by encouraging recycling, litter prevention
and waste management through daily green efforts in local
communities.
Over 15 pounds or approximately over 20,000 pull tabs were
collected by sorority members and donated to The Ronald
McDonald House. The members who participated in this service
project found the day very humbling and enlightening. The
Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Ohio is a home away from
home for families with children at the Toledo Hospital.
Families can eat, sleep, shower or watch TV and at no cost.
The money received from the recycled pull tabs supports
their yearly food budget and daily expenses. The Ronald
McDonald House is 100 percent donor funder and services 500
families per month through daily and extended stays.

Johnson, president; Margaret Huntley, vice president;
