Take the day to write your way to a college scholarship.
The Braden United Methodist Church, Theresa M. Brister
Scholarship Committee, is sponsoring an event for college
bound and current college students ages 16-23.
This Free Essay Writing Workshop will be held at West Toledo
Branch Library, 1320 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio, 1:30
p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016. Registrants
should bring any essays that they have recently written.

limited.
The workshop will assist with the following: Review of all
types of scholarships available and where to find them; what
disqualifies a scholarship and essay; techniques to improve
essay writing skills; how to prepare a portfolio of
requested documents by scholarship organizations, among
other helpful activities.
The workshop facilitator, Sheryl L. Smith, Director of
Inspiring Students to Excel in Higher Education, is
headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. She is originally from
Toledo and graduated from St. Ursula Academy prior to
obtaining a degree from Clark-Atlanta University in
Georgia. Smith is a scholarship and financial planner with
over 20 years of professional writing, mentorship, research,
and financial consulting experience.
