Toledo Library and Arts Commission Sponsor Youth Mural

The Young Artists At Work
(YAAW) summer program, hosted by the Arts Commission of
Toledo, is in full swing and the culmination of this year’s
six-week session will be a mural on the campus of the
Toledo-Lucas County Public Library’s Main Branch.
The 15 members of this
summer’s YAAW cohort were selected from a field of 120
applicants. Under the guidance of Arts Commission mentors,
the youth will gather information in order to plan the mural
and, once a theme has evolved from that data, proceed to the
phase two painting part of the project. The mural will be
completed by mid-August.
