Rustbelt coffee is a
trendy coffee shop located on Ontario in downtown Toledo.
It was once an antique shop, It has beautiful exposed brick,
antique wood and high ceilings, perfect back drop to
showcase the beautiful women in attendance.
Nothing but good vibes
filled the conference area at Rustbelt as the ladies began
to arrive. The shy kittens who walked in left as confident
lionesses after their personal shoot with the photographer.
It was great to see women all flavors, and walks of life,
enjoy good conversation, food and peach (virgin) Ciroc
Bellini all prepared by Cook. He truly worked hard to treat
women like royalty.
Cook has done events and
promotion since he attended BGSU, he has been a comedian
since 2009. When asked why he wanted to do the BBW event he
stated without hesitation “The media, society and even our
culture does not celebrate Black, Latino, Asian women. If
no one else is going to do it, we must start with our own”.
Poon has been shooting
portraits for the last eight years. He was honored to be a
part of BBW event. “Black is beautiful, we were not taught
to celebrate ourselves in school, they only focused on the
negative aspects of our history. Black women play strong
role in the home and in society.” He said. He was flattered
to be a part of celebrating sisters in a positive way.
Ladies, get ready for the
finale. It will be held at M’Osteria and Bar, Feburary 3
