Fourth Annual Aviation Expo and Open House to Be Held This
Weekend
The students at the TPS Aviation Center are ready to show
off their program at this weekend’s High School Aviation
Expo at the school’s location at Toledo Express Airport.
There will be free plane rides to youth ages eight-17, hands
on project stations and activities and an F-16, C-47, WWII
planes and other aircraft on display. Visitors will also be
able to tour a Mobile Theater that tells the story of the
Tuskegee Airmen (an exhibit brought in by the Toledo-Lucas
County Port Authority).
The best part? Interested students (from any school district
in Ohio) can find out what it takes to become part of the
FAA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Technician Program that
can earn them a certificate so they can get jobs working on
a variety of airplanes.
