SmithFest 2016 Brings Families Together for a Summer

Toledo City Councilman
Tyrone Riley and SmithFest Committee Chairman Ethel Parker
hosted the annual SmithFest on Saturday, June 18 at Smith
Park on Dorr Street – next to Martin Luther King Jr Academy
for Boys.
SmithFest 2016 offered a
wide variety of activities for the children in attendance
including: swimming, basketball, horseback riding, archery,
golf and more. Young people received lunch and a t-shirt and
125 bicycles were given away during a raffle.
The Gold Sponsors for the
event included United HealthCare and the Toledo Lucas County
Public Library. The Silver Sponsor was Full Circle to
Completion.
